I've got a scaffolding licence — do I still need a SWMS?+
Yes. The high-risk work licence covers you as a person; the SWMS covers the task. Scaffolding work where a person or object could fall more than 4 metres needs a licensed scaffolder, and the same job needs a SWMS because it's high-risk construction work. Site managers will check for both.
Does one SWMS cover erection, alteration and dismantling?+
It can, as long as each phase gets its own steps and controls — dismantling has different risks to erection, like part-stripped bays and loose components. Our generator breaks the job into phases, and you can edit every step before you pay.
Is the scaffold handover certificate part of the SWMS?+
