Do brickies need a SWMS on residential jobs?+
Yes, when the work is high-risk construction work — and house jobs count as construction work, there's no residential exemption. Laying off scaffold with a fall risk over 2 metres or working around a telehandler both trigger the requirement. Most volume builders now ask for a SWMS from every bricklaying crew before the first course goes down anyway.
