Do carpenters actually need a SWMS?+
If any part of the job is high-risk construction work — like working where someone could fall more than 2 metres, or propping a structure during alterations — a SWMS is legally required before work starts. Even when it isn't strictly required, most builders and principal contractors demand one from every trade before letting you on site. Easier to have it sorted than argue at the gate.
What does a carpenter SWMS need to cover?+
